Tishman Speyer plans to develop an 11-story trophy office building on what's now CBS News' D.C. bureau, but don't expect to see your typical glass box emerge from the southeast corner of 21st and M streets NW.With 2050 M St. NW, about halfway between Washington and Dupont circles, the New York-based Tishman Speyer set out to design a new standard for D.C. office buildings, said Managing Director Paul DeMartini. The aim for the 370,000-square-foot building was to create something that breaks from both the older mold of masonry or concrete structures such as the FBI's headquarters at 935 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, and the wave of newer glass-facade structures that tend to be pushed out as far as possible to compensate for D.C.'s height restrictions
